Itinerary
Day 01: Bangalore → Mysore
On arrival at Bangalore Airport, Railway Station, or your preferred pickup point, our driver will warmly welcome you. Begin your journey to Mysore with en-route sightseeing.
En route, visit:
- Srirangapatna: A historic river island on the Kaveri River, home to the famous Ranganathaswamy Temple – one of the three important Ranga temples.
- Ganjam Village: Known for rose cultivation and traditional gulkand. Visit the 400-year-old Nimishamba Temple on the riverbank.
- Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace: Adorned with beautiful murals and a royal garden.
- Mysore Palace (Amba Vilas): The official residence of the Wodeyars, second only to the Taj Mahal in tourist visits. Explore its grand architecture, rare paintings, carvings, and illuminated evening views. Don't miss the Sound & Light show (7–7:45 pm except Sundays & holidays).
- Mysore Zoo: Established in 1892, home to 168+ species across 157 acres. (Closed Tuesdays).
- Sand Museum & Aqua World: Unique sand art displays and India's largest underwater aquarium.
- Chamundeshwari Temple: One of the Astadasa Shakti Peethas, located atop Chamundi Hills. Also visit the nearby Mahabaleshwara Temple, Mahishasura statue, and the massive monolithic Nandi bull.
